URGENT - ASSISTANCE REQUIRED FOR S&R VOLUNTEERS TO MOZ

Unread post by Rob K » Wed Oct 31, 2012 8:32 pm

Evening All,

As Convenor of the Santjie White Fund, I have received a request to assist with the airfares of 4 volunteers that live in Cape Town and must get to Johannesburg ASAP for onward transport to Mozambique.

The fund will certainly assist as this is what it was meant for.

However I wonder if anyone has any direct links to any of the airlines servicing CT-JNB that may be prepared to assist both financially (by way of a discounted fare) as well priority wise to get the guys up to JNB as efficiently as possible.

I have emailed ROMEO E.T and await his response.

Thanks to all and here's to the power of Avcom.

Guys,
Those that can help ..please do so.. [-o<
Given that they were able to radio their problem through, there is a real possibility that a happy outcome is still possible [-o<
It seems their names have not been released but its a father and son, who largely operate out of Lanseria but who also have a fun aeroplane at Rand... and which I very recently posted a pic of in the Rand thread.

Hi All,

The Mountain Club had to pay the fares as they could not delay.

We will still need to get the guys back to Cape Town on completion - so please feel free to make contact if you have a direct contact at any of the airlines.

Also going forward we would like to assist the Volunteers with this type of request - so again feel free to put us in touch with anyone we can contact who would be able to assist in the future.

Regards to all,

Rob

AMS have PC12's and various Helicopters with well trained pilots and medical crew and I think they've done some SAR in CT, they're based at FALE and FARB, someone should contact them to see if they can be of assistance...? www.ams.org.za

I can also help as a pilot or set of eyes or whatever help i can be, if needed.. contact me on 0725994143, I will pay my own way!

Avcom will transfer R10 000 to the Santjie White Fund which can be used for the airfares.
