The only diffirence is that I don't look as cool. I am a slightly overweight Afrikaans guy with a 2-tone shirt drooling on the wing of a Cessna......... who I have named Rowena

Guys

It is more than a year ago since my last post on this topic. This beauty is still parked close o my hangar and I still steal loving looks at her as not to upset my little Jabi.

What is the plans with ZS-TRR? Will she ever fly again? I still fly her in my dreams every week. The problem however is that she is looking a little worn out from standing so long. She is like that hot chick in school, a year or 2 or 3 older than the rest of the class that tought all the boys why we should like girls and the girl that mixed with the wrong crowd. Hot as hell but now when youth is gone and all the fun took it's toll on the looks. Now she sits on her porch dressed in a dirty pink gown smoking a cigarette waiting for the welfare check to come each month and remembering her glory days as prom queen.

Hopefully TRR will be rescued before she sits all wrinkled on the porch for ever same as "Becky" (name changed to protect the not so innocent) whom was "loved" by many a boy but those glory days are gone. I surely hope TRR will be loved again and if so, hopefully I can also get a turn and I am sure she will be just as amazing as "Becky" was when I was 14 and she 16

Piet,

Is it possible that the SIDS program has not been completed on TRR ?
If so - she has become an expensive paperweight .

As far as I know - all 400 series aircraft in every possible operation now need to have a clean SIDS certificate - regardless of TTAF.
The cost of the SIDS compliance would probably outweigh the economical value of TRR

It would be such a pity if she is now joining "Becky" on the porch :( I will however still look at her fondly and try to imagine what it must be to fly in her. I am sure it would be just as amazing or even better than "Becky" although slightly more expensive. "Becky" would rock your world for the price of a movie ticket and a packet of smokes..... and if you snuck in some Bacardi she would make you wish that you paid more attention when she mentioned the safe word, but instead drooled like a fool and heard nothing

Anybody flying a 401 or 402 out of FAWB and need some company when going for a flip, let me know. I will try not to drool on your plane. If you need a packet of smokes and a bacardi in return, please send the safe word via sms.... =P~

Why so grumpy? My TRR actually lives at Jandakot, your home base. Maybe you will see her there and give her a kiss on the spinner :D

Jim
LOL - New saying for me... "Kiss my spinner" - Will email you a pic re this btw.

Piet,

Sounds like you have some serious "Becky" issues? Seems like she got you hard (wait..................that did not come out right!).

AME is working on the instrumentation.
Apparently the problem is that the radios are not on its equipment list.
Anyway AME can get you in contact with the owner.

Is she SIDS compliant ?
Long range fuel ?
Hours airframe ?
Engine / props ?

She has an off runway excursion either earlier this year or late last year. I assume she's being repaired. Ivan v.d. Schaar was flying her

Thx Ray

That means she is SIDS compliant - otherwise she could not have flown....
Is Ivan on Avcom ?
