Unusual for them to send the A330. Would there be payload restrictions on this flight ?

Amy idea why TK41 took off Jhb to Durban and then went to ISTANBUL last night? I'm just guessing is it because of the fuel issues àt jnb?

Two Virgin Atlantic flights into Cape Town today, one from Heathrow and the other from Manchester. Does anyone know if these are possibly charter flights as there is nothing on Virgin Atlantic's website about these flights?
Cheers

It's on lease now as of 22 April to TCS World Travel. G-XATW has been replaced by G-GBNI to fulfill the UK government contract. So this flight is likely a luxury ''around the world holiday charter''.

25 April 2022

G-GBNI was painted with the ‘Global UK’ livery and G-XATW had this livery removed during the visits to Southend Airport as part of a planned exchange of two identical airframes in line with contractual agreements/obligations.

HM Government has only leased one airframe and I can confirm that there was no extra cost to the taxpayer.
Here's the itinerary!
