ATPL Exams 2017

Unread post by pilottobe » Sun Apr 23, 2017 9:27 am

Has anyone recently sat for ATPL exams? I heard the syllabus changed. Are the BGS and Exam11 questions still helping?

Hi pilottobe,

I passed the ATP Radio Aids exam yesterday, I've never used Exam11. I've been using the Oxford CBT software, some of the books where I've been getting stuck and Questionbank.

Good luck!!

Hi all,

I to would like to find out what will be a better investment. R3000,00 on software is a steep personal investment if it doesn't work...

Does anyone know whether this syllabus is the current one? Found it on the CAA site with the search function, but I see that it is dated 2010.

PLAOS7 sorry this is a bit off topic, but did you use the same material for CPL or is there something else to use for that?

Morning,

No I didn't, when I wrote my CPL exams it was the old syllabus so I used the AVEX books at the time (best books I've ever used for studying) but seeing as the syllabus has changed I've had to use different books.

On the same slightly "left of centre" topic: Does anyone know how good are the Babcock 2010 notes for the current CPL syllabus?

Hi Stojan,

I wouldn't recommend using them because those are based on the old syllabus.

On the Apple Store search for Aviation Exam.
Many programs have good questions (they usually get them from the same source) but it's the explanations that make it good. Don't even bother with question bank. Can't go wrong with R200/subject/month.

Aviation exam is now +-R350 for 30 days subscription, all subjects available in that period.
