Mike Beachy Head (RIP)

Unread post by Tipper » Mon May 22, 2017 12:42 pm

Sincere condolences to the Beachy Head family and friends on Mike's untimely passing yesterday.

Thank you Mike for what you have done for aviation in South Africa. It was good to experience the Thunder City era.

The true test of a man is the size of his legacy - Mike has left a big one !! Condolences to all the family and friends on a shared loss.

I was flying in uniform when you were still in liquid form

Indeed the end of an era. Mike was a giant in aviation worldwide.
I was an honour to have flown with you.
I expect Thunder City will probably just be liquidated.

Still remember his 4-ship Lightning formation at AAD2006 and one of the lightnings breaking the sound barrier over Cape Town at AAD2008.
End of an era... Thanks for the memories Mike. RIP.
