A2-UBW..

Unread post by Fransw »

I had a beautiful but quick view of this aerie cruising low and slow over the countryside earlier today. It was in the Parys vicinity..

It looked so peacefull in the near perfect weather. I can't find anything on it. Anyone with a picture maybe?...what make?.. :D

Here she is.. One of the first Shockcubs in SA recently expertly built by Axella Aeronautical Engineering in Potchefstroom. Powered by a Rotax 914. Extreme STOL capable.

Hi Jean. Yes, thank you!! I didn't realize it was a Shock cub! It was so quite I didn't hear it.. It looked so peaceful.

Is it going to work in Botswana or is it only for recreational purposes?

Beautiful paint! :D

Interesting. Is it flown solo from the front seat - like a Super Cub, or the rear seat - like a J3 Cub?

If the videos I’ve seen are anything to go by it’s flown from the front. Quite spectacular t/o and landing performance. Looks like fun
