Depending on the panel size you have available.

The MX1 from our own Rainier of MGL also looks like a super nice system, I am going to buy one. :D

I think by the time you've bought a R10k ipad, and the various peripherals, you could have bought 2x MX1s, and not had to fight with software and compatibility.

I'm all for dedicated hardware. I currently use garmins app for nav assistance, but even that has its moments. Would hate to rely on it for more critical systems. An mx1 or more are in my future.

Agree completely. Posted for interest sake. I'm a big fan of my MGL avionics - there are issues but there is support and ongoing development.

And the prices are making the imports look ridiculous. MGL has a backup AH and compass with its own built in AHRS for 6k ZARs. =D>

R4824 including VAT for a 2.1/4" AHRS-3 and R5113 including VAT for a 3.1/8" AHRS-4

Unfortunately these prices will have to change sometime in the future as we now have to pay Trump's tariffs. The display modules are a U.S. design we buy in the U.S. but they are produced (like just about everything) in China. Trump does not like that.
The displays are the single most expensive item in these units.
