I had to throw some toys with the CAA insisting my medical has expired. Does nobody there understand that medical certificates are actually generated by their system? The doctor and pilot simply inputs information. Took 6 emails and 4 phone calls to get them to process my license.

Is there any way a renewal for CPL can be emailed? I am unfortunately not having a good experience with Aviation Assist :( I have no intention of gunning them as i only hear good stuff and i have used them many years ago. However this time round is a bit time consuming and frustrating. I would like to email or deliver by courier if not.

Thanks in advance

Compliments to the SACAA.

Following some reports of pretty poor service regarding renewal procesess I submitted my paperwork via email with PoP of the required fees on Tuesday 15th June and received an email request to login to the new portal today 20th June. 5 days total, 3.5 working days.

Logged in and license renewed valid and all endorsements, medical, restrictions and ratings correct.

Now just to collect my card.....

Good work SACAA... =D> =D> =D>

Did you submit the passport photo electronically or hard copy? If electronically, did you submit the correctly resized image or simply a high def image? Cheers
