Fuel at New Tempe

Would anyone know if there is Avgas at New Tempe, and if so how does it compare in price to Rand and Bloem International. Can't seem to get through on the telephone numbers on EasyPlan.

Westline Aviation I guess, but they closed down.

Wannafly took over from Westline some 2 years ago and the new supplier took over now. Rumors are making the rounds that Westline will soon open again. Some Westline Piper Cherokee aircraft are being serviced so it looks as if something is happening. I enjoyed flying the Cherokees when I did my PPL there in 2017-2018. Eagle Flight Academy is now the only flight school doing PPL / Com flight training at Tempé. Great people to work with. I hire&fly their Sling 2's for personal flyouts. Visited Bona Bona the past weekend with a Sling 2 iS and my wife enjoyed both flights to/from tremendiously although up to 30kts crosswinds prevailed at times to BonaBona.

Avgas price at Tempé is currently R25.00 (VAT excluded). There are no call out fees over weekends or after hours.

AFAIK they closed down. Was there a month ago and the place looked quite deserted.

AFAIK they closed down. Was there a month ago and the place looked quite deserted.
Westline still closed but Eagle Flight Academy still doing flight training and the Bloemfontein Flying Club still active. Looks deserted some times but we are all working at times. Fuel Bay open 24hours managed by new owners.

We have sorted this out mostly. Cameras installed at hangars by owners and also some looking onto the apron. Bloemsec security also do some rounds at night.
