Her sister CPU was a 175B nicknamed ‘Boksnot’ in Rustenburg in the mid 80s.
My wife keeps saying I don't listen to her or something like that !?

I seem to recall that this was the aircraft I considered buying in early 1975. I went to meet the seller, the late Tom Zeederburg at the old BaraG to look at it. I was put off by what I had read about reliability problems with the geared engine, caused by the fact that the gearing was likely to give problems.

Easy fix! At TBO change engines - 0-470 (230 HP). We just did one on a Skylark a few months ago. Now you basically have a 172 with a 182 motor!

ZS-CPO is owned by a mate of mine David Austin who operates African Wings - they do whale watching and scenic flights in the Hermanus area.
