Hi guys. I missed the show this weekend but wanted to ask two quessies.
When will the Adept mill be available. [Really on the market. Not just advertised, not "undergoing tests, etc etc.]
What is the pricing structure for this unit going to look like?

I hope this is not going to be another "wait and see project".

I personally have all the faith in the world, that Adept is going to deliver exactly what they say...........WHEN they are good and ready.

One of the latest Av Mags mentioned that Adept certification is with SACAA, to be followed with European and US approvals.

Further states that capital outlay as higher than conventional engine, but buys back on consumption and maintenance.

Can DTI expand their view further than the Joulle fiasco ? Really hope so.

I fear you are so wrong here. You only get one chance to make an impression.
I have told a few of my co-workers about this plane and they treat it like it is joke/novelty because of it's (unpronounceable for them) name.
Be stubborn and keep the name because you can......Let's see how that works out
Do what the UK does. Sell Opels under the Vuaxhall name. "Boeremeisie" in SA and sell it as a "Slet" in the US. Win-win !

You can see where others can't. It is but a nickname and not the official name (At AAD only the official "C-Wolf A.U.V." name and the Wolf emblem were displayed.). The Company name however will always be Vliegmasjien. Ironically many people believe this to be either Dutch (only the spelling would differ) or German (which is completely wrong).

A quick question from the Adept team, which av mag was that mentioned in? As the comment on capital outlay is incorrect and we would like to correct it, however the later is true, the initial capital outlay will be covered by the fuel saved in 2000hrs, (which is getting easier to achieve by the week at the rate fuel is going up #-o )

And guys don’t worry stuff is happening down here in Durbs, we far from on the ropes and the guys that were able to visit us at AAD can testify, the gears are turning at an epic rate, but this is an aviation engine and I’m sure you can all appreciate how many hoops there are to jump through in order to give you an awesome engine :D So because we want to give you good stuff, you going to have to wait and see  but not too long :D

Not yet. What you see there is all built from production tooling. Cut out the flaps & aileron sins. Insert the spars, hinge points & control links & wings are done.

Anything?....and the engine...?

When the understanding comes
That the gunner is forever,
A partner with the guns.

I was priviliged to see the aircraft and the manufacturing facilities, and walked away rather impressed. This is no fly by night operation.

It has huge potential for sales, Lake is no longer manufacturing, and the Beavers, Skywagons and Grummans used in Alaska are all getting very long in the tooth. While many are being replaced by the Caravan, there is a definite market for those who cannot afford to own and operate a 10 seat turbine. This will nicely fill the gaps between the Super Cubs / Maules and the turbines.
