I have had lots to do with ADEPT over the years and my opinion is that they are a brave group of innovative engineers. All projects of this type take years to develop, just look at Boeing and Airbus project with thousands of engineers and billions of dollars. Very soon we are going to see the production ADEPT aircraft engine in the air and I for one will be proud of the achievement on their behalf.

The C-Wolf is yet another innovative project that I am certain will also be successful, but it is too early to make comments at this stage. The fact that they brought a mock-up to AAD is commendable. I just did not realise the sheer size of the aircraft, but I was impressed.

Good luck to both teams - proudly South African. =D>

Regards,
Athol Terence.

I saw a car in the traffic this morning with vliegmasjien branding. What's the status here? Why was the mockup at AAD on jack stands?

Taxi tests and the first flight are planned for December.

The appearance at AAD 2012 was very early in the aircraft's development, as they had only started on prototype development & construction the previous year.

I take my hat off to the creators of this aircraft ; to first certify and then manufacture this aircraft is a task not to be undertaken lightly - The world is full of skeptics and naysayers and I hope Vliegmasjien will prove them all wrong

In our case we are bringing a certified single turboprop aircraft to market and we are starting off with a already approved TC (type certificate), a approved factory supplying airframe components for the 400 Twin Otter , and a competent certifying authority - It has taken us 18 months so far and it will still be late 2016 before the first aircraft will be coming off the line in Campbell River B.C. :^o WOW

Considering the said aircraft is similar in appearance to the Republic Seabee, I just do not see how it can cruise 90 knots faster. 3500Nm in 16 hours is almost 220kts according to my calculator. Have the laws of physics changed?
