Sad KR2

Kend Rand designed his KR-1 in 1972, he also pioneered a state-of-the-art foam-and-fiberglass composite construction method which has now become standard in homebuilt, commercial, and military aircraft.

Hi Mosbos,
I feel your pain :( hopefully I can return it to it's former glory it's all just a matter of time. Do you have any photo's of it when it was finished, from the original build I see it was a tail dragger with retractable gear.

Also, it's still registered in you or your dad's name I would like to do a change of ownership but will need your signatures. Can you help me with this? :D

Thanks
Carlton

Though I'd add some more pics when I went to collect this KR from Henly on Klip. The floor was completely filled with water and I actually took a screwdriver and punched some holes into the bottom to drain the water. Under the seat was a rat’s nest with more water and rat sh*t.

Some shots of the engine, from the size of the barrels looks like a 2.4l.

MMMMmmmm Posa is a bad idea gone very wrong. Fortunately there are vastly improved throttle body carbs on the market today that dont cost you the earth. In general they are better than conventional "carbs" because of resistance to icing, and of course fuel economy. They also dont have a float-bowl and no needle and seat to get stuck and flood the engine
