Cessna C180 instruments

Unread post by Taildraggerdriver » Thu Apr 06, 2017 3:50 am

Hi there,
This issue is really born out of frustration at the poor level of workmanship that pervades our GA community these days with workmanship and expertise being non existent.

My vacuum system is apparently in need of replacement.
It was fine until a vacuum test and pitot static inspection at a recent annual.

I am fed up with being at the mercy of shoddy workmanship.

So here is my question.

I want to replace my AH and ADI with electronic instruments and remove the vacuum system.

My options are Garmin G5 and recently TSO'd Dynon, they are just about identical in price.

Do I buy in the USA and bring home with the 8130 STC papers, or do I buy in SA?

Which do you recommend and who does the installation
Cheers
