I can scan mine and give you a copy. Do not know what the file size would be if it is too big you can collect a copy from me I am based in Pretoria or I can upload to an ftp site.

Quick question, the POH says the RPM should be 1700 rpm when the pitch is cycled, KI was taufgt to do power checks at 1700 rpm and before pitch is cycled, increase to 2000 rpm?

So at which RPM should it be done?

I was told that cycling the pitch puts a lot of stress on the engine due to the sudden torque change, and it can lead to cracks in the crank-case. I thus only allow the RPM to drop to 1500 before restoring back to 1700.

I only do it once.... don't like the idea of stressing the engine.

Yes, but I also give enough time for the oil to warm up before power checks - around 10 minutes.

I am looking for a POH for the 1961 Cessna 210 A (IO-470). We do have a copy - an old, rag eared photocopy thats not very legible and missing a few pages! The aircraft is Z-WCS. Been hangar bound since 2004. It's taken a year to get to the COA test flight. I'll be converting my PPL to CPL and IR in this aircraft. Yesterday's training was cancelled after an ominous ticking sound from the hydraulic power unit indicated an accumulator needing re-gassing. She's all original, never had a wheels up and we're trying to keep it that way! Any help on the POH would be much appreciated.
