Looking for a J

Unread post by TonyL » Thu May 03, 2018 8:42 pm

Hi All

After 2 years without a plane and a Mooney it is time to buy a Mooney again! I am looking for a J with a less than mid-life engine in good condition (no dogs please) at a fair price. Autopilot with altitude hold is a must as the primary mission is a regular commute of 2hrs. No need to mention those advertised on Avcom, I have looked at all of them, albeit that 1 is still under consideration. The reason I am posting here is to ask that if any of you know of a Mooney that is not being flown much and the owner possibly doesn't know that he wants to sell it yet, please put me in contact with that person. Any other pointers will be appreciated. Please PM me with any info!

Thanks
Tony

Thank you for your reply. Like I said I have looked at all of the J's advertised on Avcom. I looked into this one a while ago, I can not remember the detail now, but there was a reason not to pursue it . . .

Lol. I also looked into this one. A really nice plane and owner seems really nice too! It is just not the right plane for the mission. It is only useful if you plan to fly above 12k on a regular basis. I am not a fan of having to use O2 and most (all) of my flying does not need to go above 10k. So, no need to incur the additional cost and complexity.

Horses for courses . . . and this is not my horse.

Thanks again tho! :-)
