A few screen captures of a standard installation of the XP 11 demo (with some add-on aircraft). In no particular order, images (obviously) unedited – as they look in the sim. The fuselage reflections are incredible.

To those of you wondering about what the out of the box scenery is like in X-Plane 11 May I suggest taking a look at this video posted on YouTube of some flights around Cape Town. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-ggX2TzB7U

Bought it today. Install only Africa, USA and Europe. 30gb on my 4mb dsl line going to take 30 - 35 hours. Full install is 80gb so rest of it I will install as I get time.

There seems to be still problems. A very old bug, no idea what it actually is but this was with XP since v9 at least.

If you shut down the default King Air by pulling the condition levers to cutoff and then try to restart it you won't be able to, well, I cannot, bat on, press the starter and at 12% N1 move the condition lever forward. In my case it will not start. Using joystick axis for the condition levers and they move in the 3D cockpit. Once the install download for the registered version is finished now I will try to do this from cold & dark. I seem to remember that does work.

Anyone else have this problem?

I just bought this bad boy

http://store.x-plane.org/727-Series-Study-v2_p_496.html

It's on A2A level study sim with progressive aircraft maintenance issues, the way I like it. Go watch the videos and if you have 2 hours to spare watch this review where the guy goes into EVERYTHING, trying to break things and see how the systems respond, it's freaking awesome!!

I am very excited about this aircraft since it is one of my all time fav airliners, actually THE top fav airliner for me. Cannot wait to get home and try it out.

The good news is that public Beta 17 will likely be the last beta of the X-Plane 11.0 series.

DVDs for purchase will be available soon which is a blessing... no need for Gb downloads.
