X-Plane 11.0 Release Candidate 1 has just been released...
"When people move up in the world into X-Plane they will get the 'moving from high school into paid work' feeling and we who have been here for a while will get deja vu."... AND NO BUGS IN THE SDK!

From the X-Plane 11 website:
X-Plane 11.00 is out!

If you’ve been waiting for Steam – you can now get X-Plane 11 on Steam.

If you already own X-Plane 11 from our website and you had installed the release candidate 1 patch a day or two ago, there’s nothing new to download – you have the latest version of X-Plane, and it won’t auto-prompt you until we have a patch.

If you’re waiting on DVDs, the materials have been sent off to the duplicator, so my totally-uninformed-guess is maybe a week or two.

True that but there are some amazing add-ons in fsx and porting then over, if at all possible, will cost a big chunk of change. Taking about the PMDG stuff and some others.
Due to the price increase in ammunition, do not expect a warning shot.

Good day all

Does anyone have info on how well X Plane 11 runs (performance wise) compared to P3D V3?
Considering changing over for better flight model and the visuals look amazing from what I've seen so far.

Thanks

Really depends on hardware, XP11 has some serious graphics options and if you crank them up it uses system resources like a pig, memory being a big factor. I have a i7 2500K and a Geforce 970 but only 8GB ram and I cannot run it at full settings.

You also getting that micro stutter every now and then that lots of people are complaining about on the net? I suspect the memory limition on my PC for this.

Be careful when you adjust your settings, here is an extract direct from the developer's mouth:
Here’s a scenario that played out over and over and over and over during the last few years: a user with a high-end gaming machine would get X-Plane, max out all of the sliders, and find the sim ran like a slide-show. The user would then randomly reduce some of the sliders, find the sim still ran like a slide show and now also looked like hell, and would complain to tech support.

Tech support would forward me the report, and when I’d get a screenshot of the rendering settings, it was clear: the user was not getting even close to the best performance/quality trade-off possible for his hardware.
The full story here:

Where have all my settings gone
