DCS SA community

Unread post by sly433 » Tue Jun 19, 2018 8:38 pm

Hello everyone,

Been playing DCS a lot lately and often come across DCS oaks on other international servers so I thought, why not make an SA one with some local guys?

We decided first to make a discord channel and then maybe look at our own server.

Here is the link, feel free to hop on :D

I think the problem is twofold

Most people do not have the hardware to run DCS and time is always a factor, playing on your own is one thing but synchronizing schedules is something else.
Due to the price increase in ammunition, do not expect a warning shot.

Sig Sauer, kinda like Glock except for men.

Understand that, hell, most of our missions don't last over 10 minutes haha

Jokes aside, time is short for everyone but those who are keen to join must feel free to pull in, they aren't obligated to play DCS every night..

The SA community has always been very disjointed.

We got some real cohesion back in the days of IL2 Sturmovik but it petered out after a few years.

Great initiative Sly433.
I know a few other guys that are installed with DCS but don't fly to much anymore. I will mail them to join the discord as well just in case they want to hook up.
There is an art . . . to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.

Thanks bud, nice to have you with us. I'm doing it for the guys, not for me.

It’s both.
More a sandbox to create missions etc than IL-2. Emphasis is on accurate modeling, so most have all systems modeled. So if you dare take off in your spit without a proper run up you won’t get far.

Check out some of the vids on YouTube.
Now I’m just waiting for a new system so I can run a Vive pro 🙈
I am the last Cylon...

Cannot get into discord, asks for 2 factor code but I get no email or sms.
