I know it's an old post, but for anyone trolling through in future, Hennie from Infinity Aviation in Kempton Park can bring it in from Aircraft Spruce in the states. It takes about a week to arrive. Max foot length, limited by the size of the airfreight container.

Iirc the.first.cubs had the front cabin section to the wing TE in 4130 the rear was SAE1010 or 1020. An option maybe....

Doesn't the local Bushbaby family use SAE1010?

I heard something like that yes , 4130 is a good steel, no doubt but if correctly engineered I am sure 1010 or 1020 does the same thing.
Problem with 4130 is that if you need long sections you need to ship it over sea an it might rust to bits.
