I fill in the application for the mod approval. Drive all the way to CAA. Pay the R420 fee.
Just to be told that I have been given the incorrect information.
But seeing that I didn't make an appointment, it has to stand over until they have time to review it.
Possibly tomorrow.

So today I receive an email from the same person who told me that the mod approval is not necessary.
It reads, "Your file for an NTCA aircraft is now with Certification to determine if you need a mod approval". This for the continental A65 that I fitted exactly as per the original plans.
I'm really concerned about our CAA.

When I did a engine change on my kitfox CAA said when the engine is a opsion by the manufacturer/plans no mod approval is required only a log book entery.

Who at CAA said that and what is the registration? Can I use it to confront them?
