As far as I know the SA record is officially held by Andre Nortje of Boksburg with a time of 8 hours 43 minutes as witnessed and authenticated by Samaa. I have an article of the previous sucessfull record attempt which he beat. This was flown by Dion Le Roux also of Boksburg with a time of 8 hours 44minutes. Both attempts were flown at the old Rand Skyriders field and the same aircraft was used in both cases.
