A friend of mine took this video of a Roll Cloud passing over George
Wind speed increased as it approached and wind died down after the cloud passed

There is a similar phenomenon in Australia called the Morning Glory - trust the aussies to come up with a name like that. It is fully explained in the previous edition of Gliding International magazine. Something to do with warm ocean air meeting colder landmass, or other way around. Some good wave in front of this cloud aparently
