This year as it was also last year, we are experiencing a drought in the area 20 km northwest of Thabazimbi. So far we have had a total of 26mm for this season.
While it pours in Johannesburg as well as the rest of the summer rainfall area, it seems as if there is an invisible system that prevents moisture from getting to the northwest of South Africa.
I would really appreciate if FAPE could shed some light on this phenomenon. Also, can we expect some relief and when.
I know this is not strictly aviation related, but there are some knowledgeable people out there that can assist.
