Sonex Viking Engine

Unread post by Determinator » Fri Jul 20, 2012 2:14 pm

Hi guys...

Been doing a little research on the Sonex lately as I think it would be an awesome little project to attempt in the future.

I'm not that keen on the original cowl as it looks a bit "electric" to me (personal opinion)

Came across the Viking Engine and Cowl for the sonex.

What's your thoughts?

I think it looks good. Just wondering what the performance will be in relation to the existing cowl and AeroVee. I have also come across a Sonex with Rotax engine on the Sonex. Unfortunately there are no performance specs available.

Regards

Be very careful. Eggenfellner doesn't have a good reputation. Check out the Sonex builders' forum for more info. He shot his mouth off on it and eventually became abusive when asked a few pertinent questions, which resulted in him being banned.
I'd like my obituary to read "Savior of the world", but I'd settle for "Mauled to death drawing a penis on the forehead of a sleeping lion."
