Aviation Photography Forum Rules and Guidelines

Unread post by Jester » Sun Feb 11, 2007 4:20 pm

The Aviation Photography forum is a showcase for aviation photos taken by Avcom members. Any aviation photos, be they artistic or documentary, are welcome.

That said, please be cognisant of the following rules and guidelines when posting to this forum.

• The person posting the image must hold the copyrights to the image, or have permission from the copyright holder to post the image. Any posts that violate copyright will be deleted.
• Images must be aviation related. Non-aviation related photos can be posted in the 123.45 forum.
• Cross-posting images from Airliners.net and similar sites, where the poster is not the copyright holder of the image, is frowned upon. These posts will be deleted.
• If the image has been digitally altered beyond simple adjustments to colour, contrast and sharpening, etc., please state so in your post.
• Image size must be limited to 800 pixels on its longest side, including any borders or "frames" applied to the photo. Images larger than this will be deleted.
• Maximum file size for images hosted by Avcom is 256KB (sRGB JPEG files recommended). The 256KB limit does not apply for posts that link to images on other servers. However, bear in mind that larger files will take longer to load, particularly for those on dial-up connections.

These rules and guidelines are subject to change.
