Please keep the pictures coming Paul! Very special birds these.
I also have a few pictures of her as well as the other taken when I went to inspect them @ Swartkops. 711, 724 and 747 stood out for me. Was amazing to see all the aircraft standing around there, between the bushes etc.
I honestly think this was the last time civilians had the chance to buy aircraft directly from the SAAF(armscor). This just adds to the special factor

Thanks Lampies, it has to fly 25 hours for certification from the CAA, if certified it can take pax.

I knew a Poynter in Empangeni back in the 1970s -- and he had a PPL. The family were sugar growers, I think...

By the way, is Dukuduku airfield still in existence? I do not remember a strip at Kwambonambi; but there were two or three around Mtuba, principally Riverview (with Cyril Johnson's strip just a stone's throw away, on other side of the road)

Hello Christopher, Dudukuku is operational, but a still a military base. Riverview, from what I've heard closed many years ago. kwambonambi is a farmers strip, used for fire fighting for 4 months in winter.

A Sling is based there, belongs to the farm owners, there was a Seneca and a C182, the Seneca is sold, the 182 has moved, it might be back as a spotter plane during the 4 month fire fighting season, it's a private airfield.
