Here's an album of my photos taken yesterday, including some of the AN-124. The IL-62 was behind the 124, so we couldn't see it clearly.

....that contraption at the nosewheel, is it to deflect snow maybe? See, like most rusky aircraft, the tyres on these too look ruffled :D

....really a big intimidating piece of flying equipment :shock: :mrgreen:

I Understand the device as a water / snow /debris deflector to keep the mentioned away from those engines intakes.

Similar to used on the MD 80 s flowen by One Time.

Amazing that the Russians would dispatch one of their precious (only 16 in service) Tu-160 Strategic Bombers on a long international flight with tyres that look like that :shock:
