This polli cotton does not shrink when wetted throug, not enough cotton. Nor does it shrink enough with heat, not enough polyester
So, I used a mix of 1/2 sanding sealer and lacure thinners a d after 1 coat it is much better, not quite taught enough for flight but good enough for display.
The problem with the cotton vs pure polyester is that the cotton (when "doped" ) has a semy rough surface texture to it, I am sue after another coat of ":dope" and a light sanding it will be OK.

I have a good feeling about this, this model will take pride and place in what will be a stunning eatery.
I might just stick a fork in my eye, while looking upwards

Meet the driver!
I had the pilot 3d printed from a guy in Margte , I am very hapy with the result and the price was really good compared to chinese arf plastic drivers.
I will paint this guy to look like a real 1920's barnstorming pilot

Tis guy who made them is also doing Spandau guns , wheels and radial engines for some other projects I need to do, cant wait to see them.

If someone needs something similar PM me and I will gladly pass on his details....afterall we all say let's support local
