My wife got me this photo etch metal part Stars Wars X Wing as an anniversary gift.

I am finding it to be cruel and unusual punishment...!

Now I rarey do ground stuff, let allone trucks but a a chalange I did this little 1/76 airfix AEC Matador fuel truck. Typical of the 1970s era molds there is flash all over the place and loads of cleanup needed with poor fitting parts.
Its done in Desert scheme with pastel dust and oil paints as fuel streaks from the filer tops.
I still need to do the windows when I get the right stuff.

This was a 1940s RAF truc, 10 tonnes , 6 wheel drive and the 7.1L diesel only made 90 HP

Was fun to do a simple build for a change

Has anyone tried their hand at building ship models? I have never done one but I have a 1:700 (I think) Revell Bismarck that I got as a gift. Not really my cup of tea but I may actually give it a shot.

Back in day, must have been 9 or 10. 1/700 Bismark and Warspite. Found them fiddly then, and even though I still look at the kits on offer today I just think .....nah. I tell you what I did enjoy, was an Airfix 1/72 Vosper MTB, this kit linked below.

Looks suitably beaten up, which is a good thing in this case. Now, to test if you have OCD, are you allowed to place your 1/76 scale truck in a diorama with 1/72 scale aircraft ?

Funny enough, in my teen years I built a 1/72 Stirling (Airfix), and it came with an RAF tractor and a whole train of 500 lb bomb carriages. I thought it really added to the kit and the enjoyment factor.

Go search some u tube on weathering ships, very nice results to be had, wish I has a ship model to do a water effect

I wish I had the space for 48th. I build exclusively 72nd at the moment.

Really like the blue and grey colors for the Phantom.

The F4 looks awesome. The Sherman (?) in the background is also worth sharing a few pictures on. We can claim it was transported by glider in case some-one gets upset it does not have an aviation theme

The Sherman is the movie one "Fury" I really enjoyed building that.
