I also have a 1/2 built F1 car someone gave me but not really my cup of te....no weathering to be done on it LOL
This is a 1/35 1970s tamiya British OQF 6 pounder. The rear shield was missing so I had to make a new one from plastic card. The weldbead around the sight window is a little heavy in the pic but to the eye and under paint will look better. Made from epoxy putty.

I wanted to try a few now things.
first was an oildot filter to give a tonal difference.
Also did a "layered chipping and streak" with oils

this F4 has bad fitting intakes but after allot of filling and sanding aswell as scribing I got most of the detail back

Hi got a real cheapy aircraft brush and a compressor from Adendorffs. I made a mistake and bought Aztek brush but that seems to be a waist of 3k :(

Tyrrell done. I made the splitter board braces from thin canopy plastic, cut a strip and sanded both sides and then sprayed, cut to length and glued with tiny drops of superglue.

You'll notice the driver has a visor, also not supplied in the kit so made from same stuff as splitter board braces. If you also look carefully you'll see the spark plug cables and turbo pipes added using thin wire.

Great work on a great subject, I always liked the 6-wheeler, it had a lot of character. Now see if you can find a model of one of the other racing characters, the fan- car, Brabham BT46.
