You'll notice the driver has a visor, also not supplied in the kit so made from same stuff as splitter board braces. If you also look carefully you'll see the spark plug cables and turbo pipes added using thin wire.

Great work on a great subject, I always liked the 6-wheeler, it had a lot of character. Now see if you can find a model of one of the other racing characters, the fan- car, Brabham BT46.
Thanks Don, if I can find a BT46 I'll definitely build one but Tamiya F1 cars are scarce not to mention almost 1k a kit  #-o

I built a 1/72 old Italeri Tornado kit that came out with the relaunch of Take Off magazine in the early 90's, it had been lying around all these years in a Revell glider kit box along with parts for a ESCI 1/48 Sabre that my dad started when I was in STD 5/6. It is waiting for my visit to Jix this morning for bare metal paint

Here is a dirtied up and chipped Tornado (these birds were filthy in the Gulf war)...used this one as a learning curve and practice piece (first time doing this sort of stuff on plastic models 8-[) The canopy got fine mist of spray in it but has since been cleaned up and is now glued on. Oh, Mods, please don't send me to Avcom jail, it's the only decals that came with the kit 8-[

What a trip down memory lane! I built that same Take Off Tornado when I was still at school! Yours looks a lot nicer than mine did! Very well done!
Unfortunately mine was a victim of a house move some years back...

Next one I'm busy with comes from Vodka country and only one was ever built

It's actually quite a big bird at 1/72 scale  I didn't like the pilot so I spruced up the seat. Seat belts are made from masking tape, the ejector handles from thin wire (scraps from the 1/32 Lancaster build) and the wiring on the sides of the seat from stripped wire (not exactly scale but adds to the effect 8-[ )

Stay tuned, this one may be finished by Thursday. Awesome kit but not many parts and basically only two colors #-o

I said I was going to get a bit more adventurous with the Miss America Mustang, well I did. I have been watching a lot of videos around up scaling one models and one was doing seat belts. I made them for the SU-47 and painted buckles but this one I made buckles  ...in the process I lost a number of them on the carpet resulting in it taking me around 3+ hours to finish them #-o 8-[ I also weathered the cockpit for a more used look.

Kinetic is scheduled to launch a 1/48 Cheetah D next year. Kit number is 48081.

I'm guessing it will be based on the Mirage iii tooling. So we can expect a very good kit.

Baie mooi Theuns =D> =D> =D> =D>

I've got the main parts all glued on the Miss America and added filler where needed (problem with the old edition kits, they always need lots of filler #-o Just need to get primer on Thursday n then I can start with the colors.
Bit of filler needed (1).jpg
Bit of filler needed (2).jpg
Also found this 1st edition S.S. United States 1/600 Revell kit among my stash. My dad started this one before I was born, surprising enough all the parts were still in the box  I decided to spruce it up a bit as it's not a very detailed kit, not much I could do though besides drill the portals and add LED's to "light it up"...810 .8mm holes to drill and I've only drilled one side...didn't realize how heavy a 12v battery drill gets #-o 8-[
