Paperwork - where to send Med Certificate copy?

Unread post by jblaverick » Sat Dec 14, 2019 10:47 am

I (almost!) understand the new online system, but this is my first time going through it. Happy with everything, but where do I send the yellow (greenish) copy of my medical certificate?

Thanks

My medical examiner told me today that due to the on-line system there is now no need anymore to physically submit a hard carbon copy (the "yellow copy") to the CAA. =D>

While we still need to renew our pilot licenses annually (even if the flight test and everything is still valid for years), there is no need to submit the yellow copy at the same time. While this is neither here nor there (as you have to go to the CAA anyway for your license renewal), it makes a difference if your medical renewal doesn't coincide with your license renewal (before, we had to submit the yellow copy within 2 months of the medical exam date...).

It also helps those who have to do twice annual medicals. Again no need to physically submit the yellow copy of each 6-monthly medical.
