The propeller is made by a US company. Precision Propellers and is a ground adjust 66 inch 3 blade laminated wood , with a carbon fibre hub.It is a very smooth prop, when we ran the motor this was the one thing that was noticed about the prop.

Hi Jean,

The engine (and air frame) has 596 hours on the clock, but the prop has zero hours.

Why was the prop replaced?

Thanks.

DHH was then rebuilt at least once or twice. I sold the wreck in 2010 with 900 hrs on the engine and airframe after a student of mine had a forced landing after the little 582 engine quit......

As can be seen it is far from a wreck at this stage  . Also a Cheetah has a bolted aluminium frame which can be completely rebuilt/replaced to new condition. Notice also that it has a 912 S engine and not a 582, so this pretty much indicates a complete rebuild at some stage. As one of the two AP`s that worked on this aircraft, I can say that there are no hidden defects that we could find in this aircraft. Whoever buys it from Mr Van Zyl at this price is getting value for his money. All this being said , I have no horse in this race , no sales commision or any other financial interest :D

Hi Jean,

DHH looks great and is definitely not the old 582 powered aircraft anymore. With that 912S it must be a real performer!

Wishing the owner the best of luck with the sale.
The engine alone is worth the price. Lovely aircraft.

Thanks , I will convey the good wishes to the owner.
This aircraft was test flown today, the pilot said it performed better than he expected. Smooth prop, climbs well, easily cruised 104mph at 5200 rpm. Good control harmony, nice mild stall characteristics at 35mph with flaps. He could put it in a steep turn, and used the trim tabs to keep it there with no effort.
If I was in the market for an aircraft, I would buy this one.

A note from the owner of this Cheetah, he said he is open to negotiate somewhat on the price.

Hi Jean,

I notice the price became negotiable - is the plane still available?

Regards.

Hi Cubnut2 , yes still available. Quite a bit of interest from various folks but no takers yet. Every good aircraft has a potential new owner somewhere
