I am the second owner of this plane and bought the incredible DMC when she was one year old with 40 hours on the Hobbs.
This has been the most amazing plane to learn to fly as it teaches you how to "fly" the plane.
She has taken me to the most amazing places and fly-inn's all around South Africa and into Botswana and Namibia.
It's the only Cubby to have had a Display Rating and currently holds the Cubby World Altitude record.

She has been such a pleasure to own and maintain and has given me no issues at all.
When you look after your aircraft and service it the way it should, she returns the same favour.
The ATF is current.

DMC burns between 12.5 and 15 litres of MOGAS per hour depending on the type of flying
and cruises at a comfortable 70-85 kts depending on prevailing winds.
Two 45 litre wing tanks give 5 hours flying with a one hour reserve.
Landing and Take-off distance is relative to the pilots skills, the surface of the field and the wind conditions,
however it is generally typical STOL.

She has long legs, but was never designed to be a fast cruiser. This is a wonderful plane to enjoy and appreciate being airbourne.
If you are looking for a pure stick n' rudder, easy and affordable plane to maintain and fly....look no further.
On top of that, you will join a brotherhood of incredible Cubby pilots that love to flyaway and share all these great experiences of flight.
Being a "Cubmeister" is a unique priviledge :D

There is no published TBO, the aircraft is operated under the "on condition" basis. If the engine passes a blow-by test and the oil analysis shows nothing unusual,....then fly on 8)

Thank you for the reply Jean,
That is the beauty of these little planes. Well maintained machines can last a long time if given the TLC they need.
They then reward you with a motor that purrs, that create supa dupa flights and even greater memories. :D
