We used to do these kind of things in Rhodesia back in the day but have come to our senses with age, although the temptation is always there for the thrill.

The sad thing about idiots that do this in aeries not designed for it, is that they almost always get away scott-free. A few years down the line, some poor sod ends up dying, when flying along innocently and suddenly the aircraft's wings claps hands. I really don't see any appeal to this sort of thing what so ever.

In the USA, accident investigators scour the forums you might have been on to see what you have been up to. The look at home builders forums to see what technical issues you have been discussing, what modifications you might have done, what sort of flying, etc. And we all tend to leave quite a trail.

So, just by asking this question, you are damaging your reputation and showing your lack of knowledge about operating an airplane. Anyone and their dog knows that just about any airplane can be rolled (Tex Johnson and a B707 comes to mind). But bad things can happen, and when they do your reputation is out there for all to see:

I remember a fatal Seneca crash from FAGC to FANS. The pilot was deadheading back to FANS, and there was some discussion that he was attempting a roll / barrel roll. If that was the cause, at least he only took himself out unlike the pilot above. The Seneca has a balanced stabilator, as well as a pretty heavy down spring. I've wondered how this would behave if you were inverted (remember the SAAF pilot who did an aerobatic routine in a Seneca I?).

I have no intention of ever exploring the envelope beyond the limitation in the POH. If I were inclined to try a roll, it would not be difficult to locate an appropriate pilot and airplane to do so.
