SQ22 - (resurrected) New longest flight

Unread post by NKruger » Fri Oct 12, 2018 8:52 am

Don't know if this has been threaded (is that the right term?) but Singapore flight SQ22 from Changi Airport will touchdown in Newark in just over 2 hours, reclaiming the title as the longest commercial flight. Equipment used is a A350-900 ULR configured for business and premium economy passengers.

Thought the flight was Singapore to JFK. And that they go Westwards, routing over the Arctic and Greenland

AF

"westward" would mean fighting wind all the way
Have a look at FR24 / and key in SQ22 and SQ21 (return flight)
SIN to EWR - and they keep using the winds - so North - Eastbound on the outbound leg and then over the Pole on the return leg EWR to SIN.
