ASKY to launch flights to Joburg

Unread post by Burner » Tue Apr 09, 2019 10:08 pm

I read on another forum, that they are launching flights to JHB from West Africa. I flew with them quite a few years ago (+-8 years), between Abidjan - Lome - Libreville, and was actually very very impressed with their service. Clean aerie, friendly crew, and good service. SAA dropped Libreville didn't they?

June apparently! If the times are decent, I.e. not departures at awkward times, I know a lot of my colleagues working in Libreville will be happy with this!

They did yes, was with ET aircraft that used to be idle at JNB all day, but now operating morning departure JNB-ADD (3rd daily ET flight).
However then it was just JNB-LFW, hoping to rely on connections at LFW...this time the focus is clearly on LOS and picking up routes dropped by SAA (LBV and DLA), whatever continues to LFW and connecting onwards from there is a bonus (although will be 3 stops then)

Well, pretty awkward times at JNB...arriving 01:15, departing 03:15
But at the other destinations it is okay times then, morning arrivals and afternoon/evening departures.
Starts 15 June

I'm surprised that they have traffic rights between LOS and JNB given how stingy Nigeria is with traffic rights.
