He was a really remarkable young man. He had a joy of life and lived it to the fullest extent. He was destined for great things, but the accident tragically cut his life short.
He told me how proud he was of his mother, Alida and how grateful he was for everything that she had done for him.
Life is too short for cheap wine or slow cars.

Someone who taught me the true meaning of friendship and gave me the confidence to go out and really enjoy my PPL. I'll be forever thankful buddy!

Armand was the youngest Airbridge Aviator . We called him Springbok1 cos he was so paraat on the radio you could almost hear the atc stand to attention. He told me he used to sneak a handheld into bed as a kid
'at night and listen to Atc and the passing traffic. He mum understood his passion too and supported him. On a formo back from the Transkei he called me up to say he wanted my permission to go into Durban for a touch and go . I asked him why my permission, he said him mom said he must not do things without asking ..... I would forget he was only 16 or 17 at the time . Wow Armand we miss you .
