Real Name: Jeff Sharman

Passed away date: 13 February 2013
Details of passing: Jeff Sharman was killed while flying his Tipsy Nipper near his home base in California. The accident happened at about 1615 Californian time. The wing of the Nipper failed after a birdstrike with a turkey buzzard. Although Jeff had been in California for some time he still had a lot to do with aviation in SA and always flew a 'Meerkat" to Oshkosh.

Ja....remember him and his old man Harry at old Bara. I was 10 at the time (51 years ago) and used to spend a lot of time in their hangar as we lived in one of the mine houses there. Old Harry used to swear like a trooper. I remember he hit his head on a prop one day and he wrote a new dictionary with the words that came out of his mouth.
