At present, Yantai Power Supply Company has set up an unmanned aerial vehicle inspection team in each transmission and transportation maintenance team to use the drones for daily patrols, special inspections and fault patrols of the squad. At the same time, a professional inspection team was set up to strengthen the standardized management of drone inspection work. The power supply company will continue to promote the development of the UAV inspection of transmission lines, and actively apply new technologies such as UAV self-inspection and laser radar transmission channel inspection, and strive to achieve old lines and key section lines by 2020. The drone inspection is fully covered, and by 2021, the coverage rate of the drones of 220 kV transmission lines will reach over 60%.
