Please refer to my letter I have posted to the factory regarding advice or direction on the use of the Jabiru logo etc.

Good evening all,

Update

Good news! =D>

We now have permission from the "Factory" to use the Jabiru logo in the club logo. =D>

I have further more received a full UPDATED owners list placed in my care for the exclusive use to promote the club. The factory is also going to keep our list updated with new client details as they take delivery. In turn they would need for me to inform them about any changes in owners as we become aware of it so they can keep their list pure and updated. =D>

Last but not least, is that the "factory" will fully back the Avcom Jabiru Club existence. They will award us a link on their web page (as soon as it's reworked) to allow joining info, or direct contact with us for prospective club members. =D>

Now, I think this communicates 100% the level of commitment we have from the "factory".

Len and Les, thank you from all of us, for the assistance so far.

Thanks to Phillip and Elaine for your inputs so far. Now you guys can run with it!!!!!
I would suggest that we would now need to have a meeting with a few members and include Marilize. I guess we are rolling.

Phillip, what's next?

How are we going with:

1. The logo
2. Slogan
3. Are we going for a shirt (Not golf shirt)
3. Wind breaker
4. Caps
5. Coffee cups
6. Logo' ed drinking glasses

7. Invitation letter
8. Non avcom member news letter circulation (Summary of avcom activity)

Please ad to the list as you think of stuff.

9. Membership Card (Laminated) - Elaine will make for us.
10. Pilot wings with the Jabiru Logo and half wing for the non pilots

The first thing now would be to draft invitation letters and send it to all on your list.
I would like the letter to include the links to the Logo and slogan in order for us to get everybody's input before we finalise the logo and slogan.

In the meantime we can ask all Avcomer's for contacts in the making of the Caps, Mugs, Glasses, Pilot wings and the logo.
We need to find out from the members should we make a badge to sow onto the shirts etc, or have it embroidered on..

Any other suggestions will be highly appreciated..

Fantastic! =D>
Well done.
Agree to all the goodies above, I am sure that if reasonably priced, most guys would take a FULL set of goodies. I would...

Can I suggest a "Member" sticker for the plane as well to identify aircraft belonging to members, much like the EAA?

Remember in the old days, guys with old beaten up Beetles would slap a "My other car is a Porche" sticker on the back?

 So finally, I would like a sticker that reads "My other plane is a Jabiru :P !" to slap on some unsuspecting blik aeries when their owners are not looking  Believe me, once they spot it they will know exactly who was responsible for that

Het gister by Francois gaan kuier, ons sal koppe bymekaar sit en 'n briefie opstel om almal se gevoel te kry oor die klub.

Francois het reeds planne om 'n paar proto-tipes te laat maak.

Nice idea. Just an idea from my side: I've done 3 air races with Jabi's. Now at every race we had a nice friendly rivalry between the Jabi crews on who will finished highest. So if this sort of club is started maybe the club can organize a little trophy for the best finishing Jabi in the PTAR. Just a thought...
