Instrument Flight Trainning

Unread post by diederick524 » Sun Oct 02, 2016 3:12 pm

Hallo every one.
My son needs to do his IFR rating and are looking for a Instructor or school. He has 105 hrs. and a Night Rating. He has access to a Cessna Cardinal 177 B for hour building.
I need a price as well as availability.
Any assistance or help will be appreciated.

Hi Hein,

You did not say where you live.

There are many good schools all over SA, and I suggest you visit a few in your area before making a decision.

At 105 hours he is still very new to aviation, and my advice would be to continue building the hours while he writes the subjects. Start the IF training at around 150 hours AFTER the exams have been passed. This will take him up to 190 hours and that leaves him enough time for comm prep.

I can help you if you live in Cape Town.
