Night rating skills test and PPL skills test in one? Possible?

Hi
I am about the renew my ppl for the first time, but am also doing the night rating hours at the moment.
can I combine both skill tests (flights) in one?

Yes. Some time ago the night rating test served to 'renew' your PPL automatically, I did it that way. Check the airlaw. No need to do the PPL test as well.

You can revalidate your PPL with the night rating test, just as long as the test is not the first test after your Initial PPL skills test. So in your case it may not be possible....

I found out the hard way that night rating does not count for PPL renewal if its your first renewal. CAA just issued the night rating but kept expiry date same. When I checked it with them they gave me a copy of the law. Had to submit renewal which took a while due to weather and work interfering.
