Approach at FBKE Kasane?

Unread post by RudiGreyling » Fri Jun 22, 2018 9:17 am

Aviators,

We are embarking on a 9 day Botswana Airsafari, and stopping over at Kasane. I see on my maps they have a VOR. Do they have an approach?

It would be nice to fly it, because us non-commercial RSA guys don't often venture that far north...

If so can you share the plates please?

Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards
Rudi

Currently no approach at FBKE. VOR/DME 113.3 KSV and NDB KS 287.
Lovely airport to fly to. Fantastic place to visit. Enjoy.

As said, no approach. They do use the VOR often as they don't have radar and rely on distances and radials, so have it all set up and ready to go.

Livingstone has one though. They have several, even RNAV if I remember correctly.

Have fun on your trip! :)
