Re: RH 44 12Yr Rebuild
Hi Bleu,
Here is a very intriguing thread about just that!
ZS-RUT was rebuilt by tanglefoot and co. and he really did a good job of keeping us desk jockeys informed - loved it. Hopefully you will do the same.
Craig.

The guys from Acher Aviation is currently rebuilding the R44 for JNC Helicopters down here in Durban - maybe they can also answer some questions...

Re: RH 44 12Yr Rebuild
There is a “12-yr inspection”, and a “2200 HR overhaul”. They are not the same, and the cost is very different.csparksfly wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2019 7:50 amHi Bleu,

I believe Tanglefoot did the 2200 overhaul, commonly referred to as “rebuild”. Arguably, the term “12-yr rebuild” is therefore a misnomer.
There should be a number of people on this Forum who know how this works. What do you want to know?

Speak to Reyno or Vaughn at Aircraft Incorporated @ FAKR ( Jack Taylor ), they are a Robbie overhaul and rebuild center and do so good work!!Tim wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2019 9:22 pmThere is a “12-yr inspection”, and a “2200 HR overhaul”.
