Hi JSJ,JumpseatJunkie wrote:So its been about 9 months since I last posted here. In that time, I've managed to make it through the entrance tests, pass the interview, & make it into the ATCO programme. Finished up my Core last year which took an effort & a half. Started off with about 40 students & saw a lot of them "fade away." We're busy with the ATS Rating at the moment. Just have our practical left, before getting posted for work as an assistant for about a year or so. Its been a great ride so far & our group is itching to go out into Ops. For anyone that stumbles upon this thread & is thinking about applying for the ATCO/ATSO programme, perservere!
If I may ask, are you A PDI (with the utmost respect).

Howzit!
Yeah look it's a long process, if you read back on my earlier posts on this topic you'll see for yourself LOL!
I applied through the ATNS website. Two days is way too short a time to be stressing, for some it takes months (ie me!)
Hang in there, it's worth it.
Cheers

Re: ATNS Bursary Scheme details
Will having a CPL benefit your chances of getting a bursary? My common sense says surely?
Character is how you treat those who can do nothing for you.

Indeed. Common sense says so. We had 3 PPLs and a Com in my group a couple years ago. And I gotta say we found the foundation course a lot easier than the non-av geeks. Good luck!

Jumpseatjunkie , while I agree with you 100% it was not the answer to the question, enjoy the job , you will find it difficult to find a much more rewarding career.
