Please can someone in ATC ( possibly Cape Town ) help me and satisfy my curiosity
I am tedious and irritating but never satisfied with anything but the full ACCURATE story
Accuracy is next to godliness -- and safe aviation
Please can someone identify this aircraft , the route and the schedule.

Re: Aircraft sighting --Details of Aircraft and schedule ?
From a playback on FR24 it looks like it was ZS-ASW which is an RJ85 for Airlink. Most likely the Cape Town - Pretoria flight which would have a Fn of SA876(X).
In the image below the flight does not track fully as the aircraft is only tracked via Mlat. But from the routing it looks like it would pass very close to Carnarvon.

Re: Aircraft sighting --Details of Aircraft and schedule ?
Many thanks for that
Going to have to get myself FR
I see there are a number of Airlink flights that look like they traverse that area
http://flyairlink.com/route_map.php
There is a flight to PTA ( Wonderboom ) on a Wednesday departing CPT at 10h00 (SA 8678)
To really complete the circle we need a photo taken by a passenger on the flight in question of the ground
I also wonder how close they are allowed to get to the "MEERKAT" / SKA ( RF and disturbance free area )
