My Jab is so old it was build before they invented chains :? Now I know why my ground manoeuvring is so <<moderated - language>> ....only yanking your chain....I think old Len had it just right when he build Rix. How many of you can sport a 379 Kg empty weight ?? :D :D Being a vetgat it suit's me......sometimes my wife is allowed to go along....and take a tooth brush.  but then we have to do dead reckoning and count on our finger for time keeping as we cannot effort the weight of instruments. 8-[

I would like to find a better place for it but must be close to the window, in my reach to be able to press sos if necessary and also close to the panel for the power supply.
Biggles is spot on. The Delorme GPS aerial does work through composite, it does not need to be on the panel. The power supply comes from either internal batteries or a cigarette lighter adapter. it doe snot have an external connection for direct connection to plane battery. Well, I suppose you can adapt the cigarette lighter adapter to work direct, but I prefer the batteries. For in case you do crash and lose external power supply. And yes, paired with an iPad or mobile one can type messages and order essential stuff (like beer  )

I had battery exhausted during flight , friends panicked , called ATC , not good.
Delorme sends the position , speed and heading every 10 min, data remaines on the website. That's the wife's eye in the sky. If I crash one can figure out the area. ELT 406 is mandatory in Nam so it will be also installed on the plane.
I will mount the Delorme where Biggles did his if Len will bring power supply there.
Anyway to get there it looks like is long way to go since I have no news from the factory after more than a month.
Don't even know if they have started. :(

When I ordered the J430 , six weeks ago, I thought it will be very exciting to watch the building progress.
So here there are the pictures:

Asked Len about this on Saturday. He said it is to teach the new ones where the roof should not be!

I think he lied to me, it is to keep them on the ground. If you turn them right side up to soon they just want to fly....

Beautiful Jab you've got there !!!
Got to be the best looking Jab around. And guess what, it's the nose wheel spat that makes all the difference! I've never been able to understand why the nose wheel spats had to be so butt ugly on the Jabbis...
