That will be because there is no taildragger version of the RV-10.

When the RV-10 was being designed, Van wrote an article about the aircraft and how the plywood mockup of the cabin was made so they could ensure comfortable seating for real world people. He said that the RV-10 would deviate from the normal numbering system as the aircraft would only be supplied as a tricycle gear with no plans of producing a tailwheel version. The same goes for the RV-12.

All the others -6, -8, -7 and -9 started as taildraggers then trike gear was added to the line, hence the A designator.
